Corruption Animation.
Corruption is an active ability in Sonny 2. It is a default ability for Psychological class along with Dark Infusion.
In-Game Description[]
Attack an enemy for 300% of your Strength and Instinct, and attempts to dispel a Shadow debuff from it. Only useable on targets with at least one Shadow debuff active. Also heals you for 15% of your maximum Health.
Details[]
Deals damage to an enemy and heals the user, and at the same time, dispels one Shadow debuff from the target. Shadow buffs also meet the requirements for use, but are not dispelled.
Tactics[]
Corruption is versatile due to the fact that it not only deals substantial amount of the damage to the opponent, but also heals the user. It can be used well along with Dark Infusion, which costs 0 Focus, has no cooldown, and stacks a Shadow debuff on the target. When combined with Epiphany, which cannot be dispelled, the player will be able to use this ability continuously against the enemy.
In addition, Corruption is the only starting ability that allows the player to heal. This can allow players to be able to heal themselves without investing in healing abilities like Free Will, or when such abilities are on cooldown, especially Psychopath Form which has a 15 round cooldown.
A huge downside for this ability however, is its cost. Because Corruption requires 20 Focus for its usage, and has no cooldown, using this ability can deplete the user's Focus very rapidly. Thus, players should not rely too much on this ability for its effects, as this, along with Dark Infusion, is a move with trade-offs that should be thought carefully about.
Trivia[]
- Upon connecting with an opponent, this ability gives you the hidden buff Striken Soul. This buff lasts one turn and restores 15% of your health. This makes the healing received technically Healing-over-Time, and it is affected by other buffs accordingly.
- Hypothermia's icon has a recolor to this ability.
